When God made the world
with its mountains and seas,
Its rivers and valleys
and flowers and trees,

God paused for a while
after doing so much,
and then gently added
one last loving touch.

God made little girls with
their warm, cheerful ways
to add special beauty
and joy to each day.

God made each one thoughtful
and trusting and giving,
gentle and kind with
a great love for living…

And it was then, when God knew,
that a small part of Heaven would
always be found in a little girl’s love.
